Kendall Cox is the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC). She is responsible for engaging with the public to promote VOC’s outdoor stewardship opportunities, recruiting and retaining volunteers, actively managing volunteer project rosters, and assisting VOC staff, volunteers, and small groups with waitlists and registrations. Kendall’s friendly demeanor and ability to handle large datasets helps to keep project registration flowing smoothly and efficiently.
Through working on trail crews and as a Park Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management on Colorado’s Western Slope, Kendall discovered the unique connection and sense of place that comes from working hard and giving back to one’s community. After finishing her Master’s degree at Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Kendall relocated to Denver to join VOC in helping others find that same connection. When she’s not at work, you can find Kendall on the trails or in the mountains training for ultramarathons, or eating any form of potato that is set in front of her.
